Q4 2020 Latin America iOS Report: Top Virtual Pet Apps' Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2020, virtual pet applications on the iOS platform saw varying levels of user engagement across Latin America. Data provided by Sensor Tower allows us to delve into the performance of the top five apps in this category.

My Talking Tom Friends experienced a steady increase in weekly active users, from 197K in late September to nearly 196K at the end of December. Downloads peaked at 21K in the last week of December, while revenue saw a significant spike in mid-December, reaching 2K.

My Talking Tom 2, another offering from Outfit7 Limited, showed an upward trend in weekly active users, growing from 198K to 229K by the year's end. The app's downloads also increased, culminating in 19K in the final week of December. Revenue-wise, the app peaked at 2.4K in the last week of the quarter.

The original My Talking Tom maintained strong performance with active users rising from 278K to 319K. Downloads showed an upward trajectory, ending the quarter with 19K in the last week. The revenue for this app reached its high point in the third week of December at 1K.

My Talking Angela saw a consistent level of weekly active users, starting at 128K and ending the quarter slightly higher at 146K. Downloads showed a gradual increase, concluding with 17K in the final week. Its revenue had a high in the third week of December at just under 2K.

Lastly, My Cat – Virtual Pet Games by Akita Limited Liability Company, although not matching the performance of the Outfit7 titles, still showed growth. Weekly active users rose from 48K to 48K, while downloads climbed to 12K in the last week of December. Revenue for this app maintained a steady flow, ending the quarter at 13K.
